Involving Beloit's (12) elementary school's fifth grade students to create the portrait and image tiles. The students also did writings which I then made into tiles. The geoglyph has a council ring at its center. These children have a lot to say. Only some of the tiles are shown.

The Student's Portraits

Description: Each student created a portrait or a river image tile. Each student began their portrait with a understanding of facial feature proportions. Without mirrors, each student captured the essence of their personality and characteristics.

Description: Several mosaics contain the fun and strategies of tic tac toe. Sometimes the mosaic pull the viewer in to decide which way the game can go, and other times the game is simply creating a statement of the possibilities.
